Nashoba Valley Technical High School formally received a $3,250,000 grant through the state’s FY2026 CTE Expansion Grant Program. Governor Healey presented the award at an event hosted at Assabet Tech.
“This grant will allow us to renovate and expand instructional space to establish two new Chapter 74 programs: HVAC and Facilities Maintenance Management. These programs will serve both high school students and adult CTI learners, providing them with critical industry skills and credentials in high-demand fields” said Nashoba Tech Superintendent Dr. Denise Pigeon.
In an announcement released by Gov. Maura Healey, she discussed the importance of the grant in providing greater access to technical education for those seeking a technical education.
“Across Massachusetts, we’re hearing from students and families who want access to career technical education. That’s why we’re making a $70 million investment to expand programs, create new seats and modernize training facilities so more students can get the skills they need and step into strong, in-demand careers,” said Governor Maura Healey. “This investment will expand capacity, create new opportunities and ensure more students can gain the skills they need to succeed, while strengthening our workforce and supporting employers across the state.”
