NASHOBA TECH PLANS OPEN HOUSE ON NOVEMBER 6

 Nashoba Valley Technical High School will host its annual Open House on Sunday, November 6, from noon to 3 p.m.

                Open House is a chance for prospective students and other community members to tour the high school’s technical programs and academic classrooms, meet instructors, and learn what extracurricular activities are available.

                Nashoba Tech offers 20 technical programs: Advanced Manufacturing, Automotive Collision Repair/Refinishing, Automotive Technology, Biotechnology, Carpentry, Cosmetology, Culinary Arts, Dental Assisting, Design & Visual Communications, Early Education & Care, Electrical Technology, Engineering Technology, Health Assisting, Hospitality Management, Marketing, Programming & Web Development, Plumbing & Heating, Robotics, TV & Media Broadcasting/Theater Arts, and Veterinary Science.

                Nashoba Tech also offers a full slate of academics, including Advanced Placement and Honors classes, Dual Enrollment and Early College courses; Cooperative Education, which allows qualified juniors and seniors to work for local companies in their chosen fields every other week; and a complete roster of sports and extracurricular activities.

                Each family that attends Open House will receive a Nashoba Tech “swag bag,” and there will be light refreshments and raffle prizes.

                Nashoba Tech recently received a $2.5 million Skills Capital Grant to upgrade its Electrical Technology and Veterinary Assisting programs. It is the largest award distributed by the Baker Administration in the latest round of grants.
