May Employee of the Month

Guidance Counselor Jessica Lamond, who has been in Student Services for nine years, is May’s Employee of the Month at Nashoba Tech, nominated by three fellow staff members.

Chef-Instructor Carley Capraro wrote: “Jess is an amazing person that we all know we can go to. She helps with all of the students, fills us in on everything we need to know, and is just an all-around good person.

Guidance Counselor Courtney Crory wrote: “Ms. Lamond has gone above and beyond, planning and organizing special events and support for our students. Ms. Lamond has created and runs the Kind Corner and our first annual Wellness Day. She has organized and helped with senior scholarships, Homecoming Week, School Spirit days, the spring dance and prom. She is consistently going above and beyond to support our students, and I am thankful to have her as a colleague.

Finally, Health Assisting Instructor Theresa Ristaino wrote: “Jess is the driving force behind a new, awesome initiative called Wellness Day. It is a tremendous undertaking, and without her organization and enthusiasm, it would never have gotten off the ground. She's involved in so many other things, it is difficult to keep track. She runs the mentor program, thought up and manages the Kind Corner to support kids who need various small items, is actively involved in organizing the spring dance, is junior class adviser, etc., etc., etc. No one does more at Nashoba Tech. No one is more deserving of this.”
