NASHOBA TECH TV STUDENTS HIT THE MALL TO FILM SPECIAL CHRISTMAS EPISODE

Students in the TV & Media Production/Theatre Arts program at Nashoba Tech spent some time before the holidays at the mall.

Big deal, right? A lot of people head to the mall during the biggest shopping season.

But these kids weren’t shopping for gifts. They were shopping their talents.

Fourteen students, accompanied by instructors Eric Stevenson and Emily Smith, Guidance Counselor Aaron Spencer and Media Specialist Linda Ernick spent two days the week before Christmas at Pheasant Lane Mall in Nashua, N.H.

On Tuesday, December 21, they conducted interviews and shot some B-roll footage of people shopping. The following day, they returned for an on-location shoot of an episode of Viking News Network near the entrance to Dick’s Sporting Goods and the Santa’s Village.

They even got to meet Santa.

“It was a wonderful opportunity for our students to gain some valuable, hands-on experience outside the classroom, and we all had so much fun in the process,” Stevenson said.
