OCTOBER STUDENTS OF THE MONTH

Tayla Logan of Lowell and Nora Riel of Chelmsford have been selected as October Students of the Month at Nashoba Tech.

Tayla Logan, daughter of Tim and Holly Logan, is a junior in the Electrical Technology program. She is an honor-roll student and a freshman mentor. She plays volleyball and softball for the Vikings, and hopes to pursue a career as a union lineman upon graduation.

In her nomination, Guidance Counselor Jessica Lamond wrote: “Tayla adds positivity to the school climate with her friendly personality. She was selected as a mentor to help freshmen adjust to the high-school environment, and she went above and beyond to connect with the freshmen in the first few weeks of school. Tayla is kind, caring and compassionate, and is a true leader and a great representative for Nashoba Tech.”

Nora Riel, daughter of Paul and Cheryl Riel, is a sophomore in the Culinary Arts program. She is a high-honors student and is planning to attend college after graduation to study Business Administration. She plays softball for the Vikings.

Nora was nominated by Geometry Instructor Jodie Murphy, who wrote: “Nora is an exemplary student. She always has her work done and asks me for answers if they are not available. She is always polite and pleasant. Nora will volunteer answers to questions during class, and she helps other students with their math skills.”
