TV & Media Broadcasting/Theatre Arts instructor Emily Smith nominated the four officers of the Viking Theatre Company, writing: “The officers were charged with thinking about recruitment activities over the summer. They worked together and planned an event for students to learn more about the company. They created an afternoon full of games, snacks, a dance workshop, theater tours and a Q&A with upperclassmen. Forty students attended the event, including a number of freshmen who also returned to audition or apply for technical positions for our upcoming production of ‘A Christmas Story.’ I am so proud of the leadership roles they’ve taken on so early in the year.”

Ryan Cormier, whose parents are Greg and Beth Cormier, is a senior in the Design & Visual Communications program. Ryan is vice president of the Viking Theatre Company, a high-honors student and Freshman Mentor, and has been inducted into the National Honor Society.
