Principal's Weekly Update -September 3, 2026

Hello NT Families,

What a fantastic start to the school year! The campus is buzzing with energy again after the summer break, and we loved welcoming our students back into the building.

During the first two days, our returning students jumped right back into their classes and shops to reconnect with their peers and instructors. Meanwhile, freshmen met their academic teachers and were introduced to our technical programs, all while learning our core values: Respect, Responsibility, Resourcefulness, Resilience, and Readiness. I’ve already been impressed by the positive attitude our entire student body has brought to campus!

NT NEWS & IMPORTANT INFORMATION

Student Handbook & Acknowledgment Form:

Please review the Student Handbook and return the signed Acknowledgment Form (print, sign and send in with your student) to confirm you have read and agreed to the school policies for the upcoming year.

Annual Health & Emergency Forms (REQUIRED):

All students must complete and return the Student Emergency and Health Form 2026-2027 including any required medication forms or action plans—to their homeroom teacher within the first two days of school.

Reporting Attendance (Absences, Tardies, & Dismissals):

To report a student absence, tardy, or early dismissal, please call the main school line at 978-692-4711 and select Option 2, or complete our online form. Please submit all notifications as early in the day as possible to ensure accurate attendance records.

Athletics Department Notice:

Fall Sports Registration Deadline Reminder: Planning to play a fall sport? Please complete your Registration by Friday, September 4. To ensure student safety and allow time for roster processing, this deadline is firm and all athletes must have a valid physical exam from within the last 13 months in order to participate.

School Picture Day:

School Picture Day with O'Connor Studios will take place on Monday, September 14th at Nashoba Tech. Photos will be taken for all 10th and 11th graders, as well as any 9th graders who missed Freshman Orientation or wish to retake their photo.

Club Showcase:

September 14–18, 2026: During lunch periods the week of September 14–18, students can explore the extracurricular clubs and student organizations NVTHS has to offer this year.

Yearbook Information:

As the new school year gets underway, keep an eye out for more information regarding the upcoming yearbook in the coming weeks. Please note that Senior Portraits are due by November 25th (before Thanksgiving Break). Make sure to submit yours by this date!

Message from the Technology Department:

To stay connected with the NT community, we encourage all returning and new families to download the Nashoba Valley Technical HS app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store and sign in. Through the app, you will have access to Rooms, our primary platform for secure two way communication, including teacher messages, school events, lunch menus, and sports or club updates.

Annual Chromebook Fee:

The annual $15 Chromebook fee is now due for all students (required each year your student attends NT). Pay online or submit cash/check (payable to Nashoba Valley Technical High School) to Mrs. Baldwin in the Business Office.

Cartwheel Mental Health Support:

Nashoba Tech has partnered with Cartwheel to provide mental health care and resources for our families. Explore the Parent Guides Series or attend Free webinars for parents and caregivers. Families may also request care directly—each request is reviewed and approved before connecting to support. For full details, visit the Cartwheel website.

Bullying Prevention & Resources:

We are committed to providing a safe and supportive learning environment for all students. Please see the 2026 Bullying Presentation that was shared with freshmen today attached to this email along with our Bullying Prevention and Intervention Plan on the school website for important details on school policies, prevention initiatives, and how students can report concerns.
