Principal's Weekly Update - June 5, 2026

Dear NT Families,

Our hallways have been noticeably quieter this week without our seniors! We had a truly wonderful graduation celebration last Sunday, and we are so proud to officially send our newest alumni out into the world.

Even with the seniors gone, our building remains incredibly busy. Our freshmen completed their MCAS Science testing yesterday and today—thank you to all the students for their hard work and focus. Beyond the classroom, hands-on learning continues with various field trips and field experiences happening throughout the week.

Finally, we have some very exciting news to share: two of our students are currently attending the SkillsUSA Nationals! The award ceremony will be broadcast live starting at 4:00 PM this evening. We are incredibly proud of them and wish them both the absolute best of luck!

Have a wonderful weekend,

Jeremy Slotnick, Principal

Out of our Culinary / Hospitality Program

Our sophomore class truly shined during this recent final exam. Three teams of two took on the challenge of designing their own menus, researching authentic recipes, and creating beautiful table settings. This year’s theme took us on a cultural tour of Greece, Italy, and France. The tables looked spectacular, but the food was the real star of the show. Congratulations to the sophomores on an outstanding presentation!

Over in our Veterinary Program

Today the vet students and I travelled with Health Assisting to LCC. While the health assisting students did their duties inside, the vet science students were scoring the goats and sheep Body Condition (too skinny, ideal, or too overweight), checking their vitals, and then trimming their hooves.

Message from the Technology Department

We’re excited to be rolling out a new tool that will simplify how we communicate with you. Rooms, built right into our NVTHS app and website, offers secure and safe two-way messaging.

This addition allows NVTHS to bring the community closer together. From messages to educators, to events, to lunch menus, and more - everything can now live in one place.

With the introduction of the Rooms tool, guardians will be able to have better communication with the NT community, teachers, sports and clubs.

We will be sending out additional information over the next month as we start implementing Rooms tools.

In the meantime please feel free to download the NT app at the Apple or Android store and sign in:NT App
