Good afternoon NT Families,
What a wonderful week it has been! Our students have been busy learning outside the traditional classroom walls through some fantastic field trips and hands-on field experiences. I also want to take a moment to celebrate the 8 students who took their Seal of Biliteracy exams this week. We are incredibly proud of your dedication to language and global learning!
We also want to send our absolute best wishes to our Culinary department! They will be traveling to Baltimore next week to compete in the ProStart Nationals. Good luck—we are all cheering you on!
As April vacation officially begins today, I hope everyone takes this time to rest, recharge, and enjoy the spring weather with family and friends. Have a safe, happy, and well-deserved break!
Jeremy Slotnick, Principal

Seal of Biliteracy
This week 8 students tested in French, Spanish, and Portuguese for the Seal of Biliteracy. We are incredibly proud of our growing community of linguists, which already includes 11 students who have met the requirements for the Massachusetts State Seal of Biliteracy or Global Seal of Biliteracy. This includes three impressive individuals who have qualified in both Portuguese and Spanish. To earn this career-ready certification, students must demonstrate high proficiency in the partner language plus strong English skills on the 10th-grade MCAS (note, alternative paths may also be available). All recipients will be recognized at graduation or our underclassmen awards ceremonies. If your student is fluent and literate in another language (including ASL), we encourage them to contact Ms. St. Arnaud, our Seal of Biliteracy Coordinator, to start their journey toward this career and community-ready certification. Many community colleges and universities also offer free college credits for MA State Seal of Biliteracy recipients.

Message from the Technology Department
We’re excited to be rolling out a new tool that will simplify how we communicate with you. Rooms, built right into our NVTHS app and website, offers secure and safe two-way messaging.
This addition allows NVTHS to bring the community closer together. From messages to educators, to events, to lunch menus, and more - everything can now live in one place.
With the introduction of the Rooms tool, guardians will be able to have better communication with the NT community, teachers, sports and clubs.
We will be sending out additional information over the next month as we start implementing Rooms tools.
In the meantime please feel free to download the NT app at the Apple or Android store and sign in:
