Principal's Weekly Update - Oct 31, 2025

Good Afternoon NT Families,

As we close out this week on a festive note, I'm thrilled to share my pride in the fantastic student and staff spirit displayed across our school.

The highlight of our week was undoubtedly the opportunity to host hundreds of middle school students from our member towns for their annual tours. Seeing their excitement as they explored our technical programs and vibrant classrooms was inspiring. A tremendous thank you goes out to all the staff and students who coordinated and mentored the visiting students this week.

I want to acknowledge the great initiative shown by our students this week. Many groups held fundraising efforts during lunch periods to support various causes and clubs, demonstrating their commitment to giving back.

Additionally, our students made a very important commitment to their peers by participating in the Anti-Bullying Pledge. We are proud to see them actively promoting a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment for every member of the NT community.

To wrap up our week, we celebrated one of our favorite traditions today: the Annual Halloween Costume Contest! This event was a great opportunity to celebrate the creativity and camaraderie of our student body. We enjoyed seeing the fantastic costumes and the students having some festive fun.

The Art Club and Cultures and Communities Club met on Thursday to create crafts in celebration of El Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead). This vibrant Mexican tradition honors loved ones who have passed away and celebrates their lives with color, art, music, and food. It is a time for families and communities to remember and feel connected to their ancestors.

About 20 students participated in the event, creating alebrijes which are brightly colored, imaginative creatures that represent the blending of art and folklore. They also created Sugar Skulls which are a symbol of remembrance and the joyful spirit of the holiday. Students enjoyed Mexican snacks as they shared time with friends and learned about the cultural significance behind each tradition.
