VIKING THEATRE COMPANY EARNS   AWARDS IN REGIONAL FESTIVAL

The Viking Theatre Company at Nashoba Tech won several awards at the recent Massachusetts Educational Theater Guild competition, held at Westford Academy.

The students presented “Challenger: To Touch the Face of God,” a dramatic telling of the aftermath of the Space Shuttle Challenger disaster of Jan. 28, 1986, when the shuttle broke apart 73 seconds after lift-off, killing all seven crew members.

The Viking Theatre Company earned the following awards.

Stage Manager’s Award: Abby Poor, senior, Chelmsford.

Technical Excellence in Acting: Brian McCall, junior, Pepperell.

Technical Excellence in Set Design: Mikayla Barrett, sophomore, Boxboro; Melina Copson, freshman, Pepperell; Alexander Johnson, sophomore, Littleton; Abigail Poor, senior, Chelmsford; Alex Ruggiero, senior, Chelmsford; Emma Sa, senior, Chelmsford; Dylan Schenck, freshman, Chelmsford; Saundra Spoth, senior, Pepperell.

Technical Excellence in Sound Design & Execution: Dallas Quakenbush, freshman, Westford; Zachary MacDonald, freshman, Westford.
