JORDAN ANDRE AND CONNOR MCCALL ARE ATHLETES OF THE MONTH

Jordan Andre of Townsend (pictured) and Connor McCall of Pepperell are the February Athletes of the Month at Nashoba Tech.

Jordan Andre, daughter of Steven Andre and Elizabeth Silva, competes in spring track, this year excelling in the 1,000-meter run and the two-mile. She also competes for the cross-country and indoor track teams.

Jordan is a senior in the Design & Visual Communications program. She is an honors student and plans to continue in the field of graphic design after graduation from Nashoba Tech.

Track coaches Samantha Sullivan and Bruce Sullivan wrote: “Jordan is an important leader and contributor to our team’s success. She leads by example, always works hard in practices and meets, and is willing to do whatever is best for the team. Through her hard work, Jordan set personal records in nearly all of out later meets, including the CAC Championship. But it is her work ethic during practices where Jordan truly shines. She models consistent effort and determination to improve. This has a tremendous effect on our younger athletes.”

Connor McCall, son of Stephen and Lisa McCall, is a junior basketball player who averaged 15 points, six rebounds and two steals for the Vikings this past season, including a 34-point game against Mystic Valley and a 37-point game against Parker Charter.

Connor is a high-honors student in the TV & Media Broadcasting/Theater Arts program. He is a member of the Viking Theatre Club and competes for SkillsUSA, last year earning a gold medal in the State Competition and a silver at Nationals in Audio Radio Production. He plans to study Film Production in college.

Basketball coach Noah Psilopoulos wrote: “Connor is a very respectful, charismatic young man, and the rest of the team feeds off his energy on the court. He is an extremely hard worker and gives everything he has at every practice and game.”
