National Honor Society
The National Honor Society is a nationwide organization that inducts high school students based on the following four pillars:  Scholarship, Service, Leadership, and Character.  Eligible students must be in their sophomore, junior, or senior year, and must have a cumulative GPA of an 85 and above, and grades of “B’s” and above in all classes.  Candidates also need to demonstrate their willingness to volunteer within their school and community and their willingness to be student leaders with good character and good disciplinary and attendance records.  There is an application process every March, and students are selected for membership by a designated faculty council.  Members are then inducted in a formal ceremony in April.  In addition to Nashoba Valley Technical High School’s National Honor Society, there is also an opportunity for students to apply for the National Technical Honor Society.
