About 800 people from within Nashoba Tech's district visited the campus for the school’s recent annual Open House.
“It’s the biggest Open House we’ve had in the last four or five years,” Superintendent Dr. Judith L. Klimkiewicz said. “We had about 800 people come through the door — parents, prospective students and some district residents who just wanted to get a look at the school. There is a lot of interest in technical education right now, and that obviously was a big reason for the high attendance.”
The event was tailored to seventh- and eighth-graders in the school’s district and their parents, but community members were also welcome to come in and see what Nashoba Tech has to offer. There were guided tours and opportunities to meet with academic teachers and technical instructors.
Of particular interest to many students and parents were Nashoba Tech’s new offerings — Biotechnology and Veterinary Assisting programs started this year, both first of their kind for technical schools in the area.
Of course, many were also interested in Nashoba Tech’s other 18
technical programs, including Automotive Collision Repair & Refinishing; Automotive Technology; Banking, Marketing & Retail; Carpentry/Cabinet Making; Cosmetology; Culinary Arts; Dental Assisting; Design & Visual Communications; Early Childhood Education; Electrical Technology; Electronics/Robotics and Engineering Technology (which form the school’s innovative Engineering Academy); Health Assisting; Hotel & Restaurant Management; Machine Tool Technology; Plumbing & Heating; Programming & Web Development; and TV & Media
Production/Theatre Arts.

Registration is open now for the 2016-2017 school year. Nashoba Tech is at 100 Littleton Road (Route 110), Westford. For more information about Open House, call 978-692-4711 or visit
