Guidance Counselor Jessica Lamond is March's Employee of the Month at Nashoba Tech

Guidance Counselor Jessica Lamond is March's Employee of the Month at Nashoba Tech.
She was nominated by three staff members.
English Instructor Bruce Sullivan wrote: "Jessica is an outstanding guidance counselor who consistently rises above her job description to make Nashoba Tech a wonderful learning community. Recently, Ms. Lamond headed up spirit week. Despite the challenges of the pandemic, this was a tremendous success, and helped to raise the spirits of both staff and students. Additionally, Ms. Lamond, who manages the scholarship committee, met with all seniors in our English classes to help our students along in the process. Most recently, with her abundant skill with technology and planning, Jess helped countless teachers and staff members secure COVID-19 vaccination appointments. This has made a tremendously positive impact on our school community."

School Psychologist Melissa Gilgun nominated Lamond for her work with collecting gift cards for students. "She collected $1,300 dollars worth of cards, and then distributed them, which was no easy task during these times," Gilgun wrote.
And Science Instructor wrote: "Each year, Jessica collects gifts for our students in need and she does a great job of involving the entire staff. Jessica is one of the unsung heroes at NT. She has extreme school spirit and goes out of her way (as with the entire guidance staff) to ensure that the students' needs are taken care of. She usually hosts a secret Santa for the staff, also. These small acts really brighten everyone's day."
