Dental Students Raise Money for Smile Train

Seniors and sophomores in the Dental Assisting program at Nashoba Valley Technical High School in Westford recently raised $250 for Smile Train, a nonprofit organization that provides corrective surgery for children with cleft lips and palates in close to 90 countries. The agency has transformed the lives of more than 1 million children.

The students made “Boo Bags” before Halloween and sold them during lunch periods.

Seniors involved in the collection were Brooke Baker (Pepperell), Erin Buckley (Chelmsford), Samantha Kreidler (Shirley), Anthony Nogueira (Townsend), Samuel Poston (Pepperell) and Sabrina Wojnar (Pepperell). Sophomores include Maria Ammendolia (Townsend), Sophia Cutrona (Townsend), Megan Foley (Chelmsford), Julia Rodriguez (Chelmsford) and Jessica Tine (Pepperell).
