Spanish II:

Family Project!

This week: Complete the rough drafts of the paragraphs about your 5 chosen family members, due Tuesday 4/23 (that's today!!!). Steps for completion (because it's due THIS FRIDAY!)

1. Tonight: Type all 5 descriptions & print out. Spend 20 minutes finding your pictures. Gather materials for your final draft of your family tree (ruler, pencil, white paper, black pen/marker or colored pencil). Check to make sure your printer is working AND has ink. Purchase a plastic report cover.

2. Wednesday: PROOFREAD your 5 descriptions, make any necessary corrections. Find the rest of your pictures and put together 2-3 of your feature pages. Pencil out your Family Tree final draft.

3. Thursday: Complete your Family Tree, Create & print out your title page, Finish putting together your final 2-3 feature pages. Either staple it together or put it in the plastic report cover. Double check to make sure your full (Spanish) name is on it! Put it IN YOUR BACKPACK/SCHOOL BAG in a safe place.

4. Friday: Turn in!

If you've lost your explanation sheet for the project, I emailed your parents a copy.

 

Spanish IH:

No HW tonight (4/9/13)

Quiz: Friday - Stem changing verbs repetir, pedir, almorzar, jugar, costar, entender, empezar and school materials vocabulary.

Spanish I (9/11):

Tues 4/9/13:

Classroom objects packet: 1) Label EACH object in Spanish using the indefinite article "un" or "una" as appropriate to the noun's gender. (Un - a/one for masculine nouns; una - a/one for feminine nouns). 2)Cut out squares.  3)On the back of each square, write a sentence in Spanish using the verb "hay" or the phrase "no hay" to say how many of the objects "there are" in your house/backpack (see class notes below). 4) Put cards in plastic sandwich bag and bring to class.

Que hay en mi mochila?

Hay = there is/there are No hay = there isn't/ there aren't

-used with "un" (a/one, masculine), "una" (a/one, feminine), or a number to talk about how many of an object there are in existence.

Examples: Hay un escritorio en la clase. (There is a/one desk in the class)

  Hay una pluma debajo del escritorio. (There is a/one pen under the desk.)

No hay dos profesoras de español en NT. (There aren't 2 Spanish teachers at NT.)

Spanish III:

Study conjugations of "poder" and "dormir" for mini-quiz tomorrow. Test on Friday - Bedroom vocab, comparisons, poder/dormir.

 

Spanish IV: Work on that packet the sub gave you to complete on Reflexive verbs. You will be having a QUIZ on the concept on Tuesday 4/23, and a TEST on reflexives and toiletry vocabulary on Friday 4/26. If you have not turned in your Daily Routine Comic Strip, you have until this Friday 4/15 at 2:45 pm to do so or you will receive a permanent 0 for the assignment.
