WESTFORD — Cory Luce of Pepperell and Brendan Conley of Chelmsford have been selected as January’s Athletes of the Month at Nashoba Tech.

Cori Luce, daughter of Chris and Heather Luce, is a two-season
captain for the cheerleading and competition squad. She is a junior in the Dental Assisting program, and helps coach youth cheerleading.

Cori is an honor-roll student and was inducted into the National
Honor Society as a sophomore. She received the Most Outstanding Cheerleader Award at the Fall Sports Award Night. She plans to continue her dental education in college and hopes to become an orthodontist.

Cheerleading coach Jill Twigg wrote: “Cori is an amazing asset to her cheerleading team with her strong commitment, leadership and team values. Her skills and talents exceed expectations as both a member and captain.”

Brendan Conley, son of Marty and Barbara Conley, is a senior defenseman for the hockey team and has helped to lead the Vikings to a possible berth in the State Tournament.

He is a high-honors student and has qualified to receive the John & Abigail Adams Scholarship for his performance on the MCAS exam. Brendan is also a Kick-Off Mentor, helping incoming freshmen adapt to Nashoba Tech. He plans to attend a four-year college after graduation but is undecided on his field of study.

Hockey coach Robert Callahan wrote: “Brendan leads by example and through strong words and an incredible work ethic. He plays heavy minutes each game and is fourth on the team in scoring as a defenseman.”
