  WESTFORD — Nashoba Tech won two bronze medals at the recent SkillsUSA State Conference in Marlborough.

        Richard Cura of Townsend, a senior in the Automotive Technology, earned bronze in Automotive Service Technology. R.J. won a gold medal in the District Conference, held in March at Greater Lowell Technical High School to earn his spot at the State Conference.

        In addition to the bronze medal, R.J. received a $3,000 scholarship to the Universal Technical Institute and an assortment of automotive tools.

        Also earning a bronze medal is the team of Thomas Dorman of Townsend and Justin Uzzell, both juniors in Nashoba Tech’s Engineering Academy. Thomas and Justin medaled in the Robotics & Automation category, in which they received a gold medal in the District Conference.

        In all, 17 students from Nashoba Tech competed at the State Conference.

        SkillsUSA is a national, nonprofit organization serving teachers and high-school and college students who are preparing for careers in trade, technical and skilled service occupations. Students compete for medals in their chosen field of study.
