WESTFORD — Kaitlyn Cooney and Jacob Monahan, both sophomores in the Electrical Technology program, have been selected as January’s Students of the Month at NashobaTech.
Kaitlyn Cooney, daughter of Keith and Melissa Cooney, is an honor-roll who was nominated by two instructors in the Electrical Technology program.
Victor Vaitkunas wrote: “Katie is a very dedicated student. She is always on task and a very hard worker. She always gives her best effort on her class work and technical work, and she is a pleasant person to work with. And being in a nontraditional shop, she has proven herself over and over again, especially in a trade that is usually dominated by men. Katie can stand toe-to-toe with any of her counterparts in Electrical. She is also on the Advisory Committee board.”
Scott Fournier wrote: “Kaitlyn is a pleasure to have in class. She is very respectful and always stays busy, whether it be with her class or technical work. A project that she completed recently was of high quality. She is an exceptional student.”
Jacob Monahan, son of Kelly Himbrow, is an honor-roll student and is a center for the football team.
Jacob was nominated by Electrical Technology instructor Victor Vaitkunas, who wrote: “Jacob is a hard-working, dedicated student. He is always very cooperative and willing to step up when called upon. He has proven to be a model student. He is very easy to give assignments to because he is always positive and gives his best effort at all times.”
