WESTFORD - Alyson Petersen of Groton and Kyle Dionne of Chelmsford have been selected as November’s Students of the Month at Nashoba Tech.
Alyson Petersen, daughter of Jason and April Petersen, is a junior in the Dental Assisting program. She is an honor-roll student who hopes to attend Middlesex Community College after graduation to study Dental Hygiene, then go on to become a dentist.
Alyson was nominated by Dental Assisting Instructor Amanda Dangelo, who wrote: “Alyson has really stepped up and is a leader in the classroom. She has taken over a lot of tasks that I usually do during freshman exploratory. She also has led her shop to stay motivated and be on task by modeling her behavior. She has really blossomed over the summer into a responsible individual. She is a great help to me by doing whatever she can to help out. Her test grades also reflect the effort that she has put forth.”
Kyle Dionne, son of Peter and Suzanne Dionne, is a junior in the Plumbing & Heating program. He is an honor-roll student and was selected to be a Kick-Off Mentor, helping incoming freshmen acclimate themselves to Nashoba Tech. Kyle is involved in community service, helping the elderly in town. He plays football and baseball for the Vikings. He plans to go to college after graduation, and also to earn his plumber’s license.
Kyle was nominated by Cosmetology Instructor Donna McMahon for his work during Freshman Orientation. She wrote: “Kyle was an amazing KOM, keeping the freshmen involved in activities, answering many questions and displaying a genuine interest in the Class of 2018.” Plumbing Instructor Robert Brazeau added: “Kyle is a great kid. He’s a hard worker and does very well in Plumbing.”
